Sting's SRPG march themes have no right going this hard on PSP. Yggdra Union's 2010 soundtrack by Shigeki Hayashi takes the GBA original and gives it a fuller, richer sound with the PSP's better audio hardware. The Royal March variations are the real star here, each one reshaping the same melodic core for different battle scenarios, from the tight urgency of "Guerrilla" to the all-out intensity of "Bronquia Showdown."

"Gran Centurio" hits with this triumphant brass energy that just stays with you. "Battle on the Requiem" goes darker and more desperate. If you've played any Dept. Heaven game and never sat with the music on its own, the PSP versions deserve that attention.
