Tight chiptune-influenced electronica with a real sense of style. Monocle Man's 2014 soundtrack splits into originals and arrange tracks, and both halves deliver. "Circuit Breaker" has this glitchy, mechanical pulse that the Petriform Remix tears apart and rebuilds. "Swimming in Sand" and "Treachery of the Dunes" build out a desert zone with warm, grainy textures that match the theme perfectly.
The arrange half is what elevates this beyond a typical indie game OST. Taking the originals and filtering them through different producers gives you a reason to listen twice. "Walking on Air ~Flying High Mix~" floats where the original walked.
For indie game fans who appreciate it when a small soundtrack gets the remix album treatment it deserves.
