"Bomberman BGM#1" is one of the most recognizable loops in gaming, that main stage theme that just goes and goes, "Shake It Up" shifts the energy for the later stages, and the TurboGrafx-16 "BGM1" takes the formula and beefs it up with the PC Engine's richer audio hardware.
The NES tracks are pure square wave charm. Three channels doing maximum work. The TG-16 side adds depth with fuller percussion and smoother melodic lines. Even the jingles hit right. "Stage Clear" and "VS Victory" are those tiny dopamine bursts that made multiplayer sessions electric.
If you ever bombed your friend into a corner while humming along, you already know this soundtrack by heart.
