7 Most Expensive PS4 Games

Three of the four most expensive PS4 discs vanished from the digital stores in the same year, 2017, when their licences ran out. The PS4 sold so many discs that almost nothing on it costs real money yet, so the ones that do are mostly licensed games you can no longer download and a few that only got a short print run.

Every price below is a real eBay sale made between May 2024 and September 2026, never an asking price. For each game we took the sales of loose discs from its latest year of sales and used the middle price, so one wild auction can't push a game up the list. You only need the disc to play, so the loose price sets the order. Only seven PS4 games had enough sales to rank, so this countdown starts at seven.

7. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition (2021)

Loose discs of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition sold for a typical $50 across 17 sales between May 2024 and May 2025. The story of this one starts with a disappearing act. Ubisoft's side-scrolling beat 'em up first came out as a download on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 in August 2010, and it was pulled from both stores in December 2014, possibly because the licence expired.

It came back as the Complete Edition on January 14, 2021, and Limited Run Games made the physical version. Anamanaguchi wrote the chiptune soundtrack, and the game is stuffed with nods to River City Ransom, Kirby and Mega Man. Bryan Lee O'Malley, who created the comics, worked on it too. If you just want to punch exes in the face with three friends, the Complete Edition also came out on the Switch, Windows and the Xbox One.

6. Gravity Rush 2 (2017)

Loose discs of Gravity Rush 2 sold for a typical $50 across 30 sales between August 2024 and April 2025, and boxed copies went for a typical $60 across 30 sales. It ties Scott Pilgrim on the loose price, and the boxed copies are what push it a step higher.

Kat is back, falling sideways through floating cities, and this time she has three gravity styles to switch between: the original one, Lunar and Jupiter. The game has three times the missions of the first one and runs somewhere between 20 and 40 hours. Sony pushed it from December 2, 2016 to January 2017 so it wouldn't fight the big Christmas games for attention. Its servers shut down on July 19, 2018, so the online bits are gone. The disc still holds the whole story, and that's the part worth falling for.

5. Gravity Rush Remastered (2015)

Loose discs of Gravity Rush Remastered sold for a typical $52 across 30 sales between March and June 2026, and boxed copies went for a typical $50 across 30 sales. Sony first announced it as a download only in North America, then put out a limited physical edition sold only through Amazon. That small run is why the disc costs more than its own sequel.

Bluepoint Games remastered it in high definition for the PS4. Keiichiro Toyama, the director of the first Silent Hill, came up with Kat, a girl who can flip gravity and fall in any direction she likes. The world and the art draw on Japanese and Western comics, including the French artist Jean Giraud. Critics loved the art style and Kat herself and grumbled about the controls. If you own a Vita, the original Gravity Rush was made for it, gyroscope aiming and all.

4. Transformers: Devastation (2015)

Loose discs of Transformers: Devastation sold for a typical $66 across 30 sales between January and April 2025, and boxed copies went for a typical $63 across 30 sales. PlatinumGames made it and Activision published it, and it was the last Transformers game Activision released. When Activision's deal with Hasbro ran out, the game was removed from the digital stores in December 2017.

You play five Autobots trying to stop a Decepticon plot to turn the Earth into metal, and it fights a lot like Bayonetta. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker came back to voice Optimus Prime and Megatron, the same roles they had in the 1984 cartoon. Polygon called it "Platinum's love letter to old school Transformers". Critics praised the fighting and how true it stays to the cartoon, and knocked how short it is. It also came out on the PS3, the Xbox 360, the Xbox One and Windows.

3. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011)

Loose discs of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 sold for a typical $88 across 30 sales between January and July 2025, and boxed copies went for a typical $72 across 30 sales. The PS4 disc was only sold for a limited time, through GameStop and EB Games.

Capcom and Eighting made this crossover fighter in 2011, and it first came out on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. It was pulled from the PlayStation Network in December 2013 when Capcom's Marvel licence appears to have run out. The PS4 version arrived alongside the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, with Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath included from the start. Critics liked the bigger roster and the better online play, and wished for more new modes. It keeps the simple three-button attacks, so you can mash your way into a combo and feel like a genius about it.

2. Deadpool (2015)

Loose discs of Deadpool sold for a typical $100 across 30 sales between January and February 2026, and boxed copies went for the same typical $100 across 30 sales. High Moon Studios made it and Activision published it in 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows.

Deadpool has been delisted twice, which is very on brand for him. Activision's Marvel licence expired on January 1, 2014, and the game came off every store. It came back on November 18, 2015 for the PS4, the Xbox One and Steam, with all the original downloadable content, timed for the 2016 movie. On November 16, 2017 it was removed again over licensing. The game breaks the fourth wall constantly, with Deadpool talking to you about how well you're playing. Reviews were mixed: critics liked the jokes and the plot and found the fighting thin. It's a game you play for the jokes.

1. Godzilla (2015)

Loose discs of Godzilla sold for a typical $287 across 30 sales between June and September 2026, and boxed copies went for a typical $275 across 30 sales. All thirty loose sales landed in under three months, so plenty of people want this disc right now.

Natsume Atari made it and Bandai Namco published it. It first came out in Japan only, on the PS3, on December 18, 2014. The PS4 version that reached North America on July 14, 2015 is based on the upgraded Japanese release, Godzilla VS, with more monsters. You stomp through cities as Godzilla and grow bigger, and the bosses scale with you, from Mothra and Jet Jaguar early on to King Ghidorah and Kiryu at the end. It was delisted from the PlayStation Store in late 2017, and it has built a cult following among Godzilla fans ever since.
